Presentation by Drs. Borja Gómez and Iker Gangoiti within the XX Meeting of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Emergencies. In it they review the main biomarkers and their use in the most frequent clinical situations in a Pediatric Emergency Department. They conclude that procalcitonin, always associated with the particular clinical situation of the patient, is extremely useful in a service of these characteristics.
