Sepsis is a clinical situation that causes more than 17.000 deaths a year in Spain. Many of them could be avoided by providing citizens with adequate knowledge about the mechanisms that produce sepsis and, above all, the warning symptoms to be able to act as soon as possible against it. “quick and unknown killer.”

On this mission the prominence of the media is essential, since they represent the best speaker for the dissemination of health education.

The objective of this meeting, which will take place in the San Carlos Clinical Hospital of Madrid, is to bring communication professionals closer to all the information necessary to understand the nature of sepsis and its socio-health impact. Without a doubt, the first step to be able to disseminate clear and effective messages that improve knowledge of this health problem and help the population and authorities to reduce its impact.

The Meeting will have the participation of a multidisciplinary team of specialists from the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine – SEMES, a scientific society whose members are very familiar with treating this pathology in emergency services.

Because in SEPSIS TIME IS LIFE.
