26 June Procalcitonin, an effective tool in the management of antibiotic treatment
On June 25, the clinical presentation PROCALCITONIN, AN EFFECTIVE TOOL IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT, was held, a scientific event aimed at consolidating and disseminating clinical knowledge and the benefits of this determination in the context of prescription, monitoring and the escalation of antibiotic treatments, with special emphasis on the importance of combating resistance. They acted as speakers Dr. Rafael Canton, Head of the Microbiology Service; he Dr. Ignacio Arribas, Head of the Clinical Biochemistry Service and the Dr. Javier Cobo, Head of the Infectious Diseases Section, all of them renowned specialists at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid.
