01 October bioMérieux new sponsor of SEPSIS-one
bioMerieux has signed a collaboration agreement with the Foundation for the Progress of Education and Health, FPES to contribute with its commitment and effort to improve the sepsis situation. His long career in the field of microbiological diagnosis and his commitment to initiatives to improve public health have motivated this decision.
“bioMérieux has always been committed to improving public health and, in the specific case of sepsis, with even greater reason, given the significant mortality that this clinical situation produces. In fact, this concern has prompted the Company to strengthen its diagnostic solutions in this field. We believe that it is necessary to join efforts among all the agents involved to improve awareness, scientific knowledge and diagnosis, which allow a better therapeutic approach and ultimately save lives ”, Pedro Di Rocco, General Director of Iberia, tells us.
From the Foundation for the Progress of Education and Health, FPES, we would like to thank bioMérieux for its contribution, thanks to which it will be possible to undertake more initiatives of a scientific and health nature to reduce the impact of this clinical situation in Spain, which produces mortality more than 13.000 people a year.
